About Us
Formed in 2002, CAIF/ACFR represents and promotes the interests of Canadian income funds, publicly listed limited partnerships, income trusts and royalty trusts.
In recent years, income funds have emerged as the fastest growing segment of Canada’s capital markets. Currently about 10% of the Toronto Stock Exchange’s total value – equal to about $90 billion in market capitalization – is made up of income funds.
CAIF/ACFR is the voice of the income fund industry.
We provide a consistent, reliable body of information concerning income funds and a coordinated approach to public education and public policy advocacy on issues of concern to the income funds sector.
We monitor regulatory and legislative developments across the country, make representations to governments and regulators on behalf of the income funds industry and its unit holders and keep our members informed of relevant activities and developments across Canada.
We have commissioned research to develop a data base that will provide facts about the funds industry for future public-policy deliberations on the corporate tax policies of the federal government and their impact on income funds and unit holders.
Our members include leading representatives of the major sectors of the income funds industry. Membership is open to all those involved in the funds industry.
